“…I am sending you the bookseller’s receipt for the Burrell “Wagner” book. I hope you have been able to look at it by this time and that you are pleased with your purchase. I want to tell you again how much joy your concerto has given me; everything I have heard under your direction has the music, and both Ernest and I are longing to hear you play some Tchaikovsky. Either the 5th or 6th Symphonies or the Romeo and Juliette Fantasia or the Francesca da Rimini. We love the music and we never hear it played as we imagine it…”.
