Original pencil drawing of star French-born mezzo-soprano Maria Malibran (1808-1836), one of the greatest singers in her time, who died at age 28. Malibran is shown in La Sonnambula (BelliniĀ“s opera, premiered in 1831) one of her most successful roles.
Drawing is 5.3 x 7.75 inches, and is in excellent condition. It is mounted on light cardboard, presented on a luxurious dark blue suede mat that is 12.1 x 14.3 inches in total, and can be easily removed if desired.
