Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in New York, July 28, 1952, where he addresses pianist and composer Henri Herz (1803-1888):
“…de remettre Ă M.me de M. de Rossi le paquet ci-jointe il contient les “tickets” pour le Steamer de Liverpool…”. He then mentions the arrival of Alboni for her famous US performances in Don Giovanni, Don Pasquale, Norma : “…L’Alboni est en descente pour le moment [LĂ©on] Escudier aura une lettre de moi dans 2 jours…”.Â
