French writer (1869-1950), philanthropist, and founder of the Université des Annales.
Collection of five autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by her as "Madame A. Brisson", dated between 1946 and 1949.
All letters are about the years of the Université des Annales' journal "Conferencia", concerning music matters and upcoming concerts. We report an extract as a sample, concerning a book by Bernard Gavoty about the composer Jehan Alain (1911-1940): "...Quel plaisir vous m'avez fait, et quelle émotion vous m'avez donnée en m'envoyant ce beau, j'allais dire, ce pathétique livre sur Jehan Alain (...) je le relirai plus attentivement encore voulant en extraire un passage pour Conférencia..." .
