Star German conductor and composer (1886-1954), one of the greatest of the 20th century. 

Informal photograph of the famous conductor, mounted on a mat which is signed below and dated in 1948.  Stamped on verso by photographer Hugo Schmidt, Hamburg.  Total size is 8.6 x 11.5 inches (actual photo is 4.7 x 6.6 inches), in excellent condition.
