Polish virtuoso violinist (1835-1880), one of the greatest violin composers of the 2nd. half of the 19th century.
Autograph note signed, undated (the date 1854 and the place Konigsberg is handwritten on verso by another hand), to Louis Kohler, German composer (1820-1886), a resident of Konigsberg since 1847. Wieniawski announces his recent arrival in Konigsberg, and sends his regards to Kohler. One page, 4.2 x 5.4 inches, in French, sold with a transcription and a translation into English, in excellent condition.
ALSO INCLUDED is an original personal card for both Henryk and Josef Wieniawski, 3.5 x 2.1 inches, in excellent condition.
