Theatre Royal de L´Opera - Cairo - Program Lot 1920s

The Theatre Royal de L´Opera in Cairo, Egypt (Khedivial Opera House) was built in 1869 and housed the world premiere of Verdi´s "Aida" in 1871. The theater unfortunately disappeared in a big fire in 1971, after a long history of performances with very important singers, conductors and musicians. 

Collection of over 60 items, all from Cairo theaters, for performances of opera - a large number of items are from the celebrated Theatre Royal de L´Opera mentioned above, some are from other theaters, all from the period 1920-1926.

Programs are in French, and include many famous performers in a wide variety of operas.

First 8 scans are for the central pages of full programs, with all pages and covers, the rest of the scans shown here are for only full cast (central pages, count of 25) and clips from central pages (count of 31), not full programs. 

Full programs are 7.6 x 10.25 inches, all items in very good condition.
