Opera Program Clip Album 1887-1919

Fantastic collection of pages from an opera fan album, including hundreds of clips from opera programs, a few ballet. Most clips are from Metropolitan Opera, New York, performances, starting in 1887, ending 32 years later, in 1919. A few european programs are also attached to these pages - see scans.

The name of the original owner is in one of the 107 pages, many famous artists are in the casts, with many clips with Enrico Caruso, some with Emmy Destinn, Geraldine Farrar, Adelina Patti, Nellie Melba, and many more.

Pages are no longer together in an album but separate, a few clips were cut out, but the vast majority of the collection is still attached to these pages. Each page is 8.1 x 11.6 inches, with a very even age toning, in very good condition.

A fabulous window to opera in the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.
