Set of 2 original, vintage prints from the American Architect and Building News, issue of Nov 13th, 1880, depicting the then future building of the Metropolitan Opera company, which was just founded and will have its building created. The final design was later approved and built, and opened on October 22nd, 1883. This is one of the competing designs, and very close to the final one. Each print is 12.7 x 8.75 inches, minor stains, in very good condition.
ALSO INCLUDED is an original playbill announcing upcoming performances at the Metropolitan Opera House in December, 1884, the 2nd season. Size is 4.8 x 13 inches, ink writing at the top, in excellent condition.
