Austrian-German soprano (1822-1878), one of the most important singers at the Vienna Court Opera in the 1840s.
Set of 7 fine autograph letters signed by her, dated between 1845 and 1850. Letters concern preparation for roles in Donizetti’s L'Elisir d'Amore, Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots, and other operas; she recommends the singer Maria Eiserich-Leonoff. Addressees are the writer Adolf Bäuerle (1786-1859), theater directors, and colleagues.
