$1,557.50The Story
Score for Poliuto, opera by Donizetti, personal copy of the score that belonged to Maria Callas, with her signature on the title page.
Full score for voice and piano, with a total of 201 numbered pages, published by Ricordi, Italy, no year printed. Probably a copy from a library or archive of an opera house.
Contains numerous markings in pencil (see for example page 17, and pages 36-37), most probably by a conductor, and the role of Paolina (soprano) is underlined in red crayon (starting on page 31) in many parts but not in the entire score.
Some pages with folds on corners to mark the page, others are bound together with tape, obviously to skip those parts.
Hard covers, probably rebound from the original, with some wear on corners, 8.2 x 11.4 inches, aging on borders (minor rust), in excellent condition.
