Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, February 28th, 1819, addressed to the composer and conductor Henri-Joseph Rigel (1741-1799): “…J’ai aujourdhui chez moi le Poete et le Musicien qui doivent traduire pour la Semaine Sainte une partie de l’oratorio de l’AbbĂ© Italien…”.Â
