Liebig Trade Cards - Opera Sets (Various Options)

Beautiful sets of colorful trade cards issued mostly by the Liebig Meat Extract Company and a few issued by Hartwig & Vogel Chocolate (disclosed in the respective description), depicting different scenes from various operas.

Every set has 6 trade cards, and each card in every set is 4.25 x 2.75 inches in size, in very good or excellent condition.

Liebig's trading cards began life as part of a marketing campaign for Liebig’s meat extract. Colorful and detailed illustrations of opera characters, exotic animals, and historical architecture were lithographically printed on coated cards by hand in vibrant technicolor, representing the finest examples of the Victorian Master-printer’s art.
