Autograph letter signed by him, postmarked [17.11.12] when the great Danish heldentenor was 22 years old. Melchior addresses Marjorie Scott, a young woman in England:
“I am so glad every time I get a letter from you and I thank you so much for your last and for the music you sent to me, it was too much. I don’t find your writing difficult to understand, and I learn a great deal in spelling (…) I work with my new songs and parties, that song “Sea Fever” I like very much, also the “Shakespere [sic.] song” (…). Will you by [sic.] for me Arnold Bax: Seven Songs and Herbert Fryer: Virgin’s Cradle Hymn…”.
Size is 8.5 x 11.25 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), ripped borders, folds, cracks, creases, overall rust tone, in good condition. Envelope is INCLUDED.
