Famous Italian librettist (1957-1919) who wrote for Puccini, Catalani, Giordano, Franchetti and other important composers. His most famous opera librettos are La Boheme, Tosca, Madama Butterfly (all 3 operas by Puccini) and Andrea Chenier (Giordano).

Autograph letter signed, 1 page written in Italian and sold untranslated. Size is 6 x 8.25 inches, small stain on the fourth line of text, otherwise in excellent condition.
