Moravian violinist, violist and composer (1812-1865), one of the greatest violin virtuosos of his time and considered a proud successor of Paganini.

Ernst was also an accomplished composer and discovered new ways to create polyphonically conceived music for the instrument. 

Autograph music quote with 4 bars from an unknown piece, signed by him. Size is 8.25 x 3.4 inches, probably a clip cut from an album page, left border is a bit irregular, 2 folds, minor stains, in overall very good condition.
