Fischer, Edwin - Autograph Note Signed 1910

Swiss pianist (1886-1960) and conductor, regarded as one of the great interpreters of J.S. Bach and Mozart in the twentieth century.

Autograph letter in German signed by him, dated 1910, written on a postcard to his friend and President of the Swiss Confederation Ernst Brenner, starting by quoting the second stanza of Schiller’s lyrics for Beethoven’s An die Freunde and commenting how exultant and dear is that music to him. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, written on both sides, overall rust tone, in very good condition.
