French tenor (1806-1896) and singing teacher, known as the creator of the role of Edgardo in the world premiere of Lucia di Lammermoor (1835).

Autograph letter signed, 2 pages on both sides of a 6.25 x 8.5 inch sheet, written in French, dated in Paris in 1845, some small stains and creases on edges, otherwise in good condition. Also included: 1 one page 8 x 11.75 inch page containing both typed French and German transcriptions of the letter, in excellent condition.
