Set of three autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by her, not dated [1880 ca.], where De Grandval addresses the harpist Coraly Gatayes (1840-1913), daughter of LĂ©on. The letters concern her composition “La Ronde de Songes” (1880) and other works such as Federico Morina Vanoni’s “Isabella de Lagatinerie”.Â
We report an extract as a sample: “…j’ai enfin la partie de harpe de la Ronde du Songes. Mademoiselle, voulez vous ĂŞtre assez bonnes pour me dire quand je puis avoir chance de vous rencontrer, afin d’avoir le grand plaisir de vous revoir (…) et de vous faire entendre mon oeuvre?…”.Â
