Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated 1871, to Madame Deslignières: “…un gazetier malpropre s’est permis d’éditer à mon sujet certaines allégations malsonnantes dont j’ai demandé justice aux tribunaux et me voilà à la tête d’un procès…”.
