Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), rare photograph, shown in Mozart´s opera "Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail" (in Italian, "Il Ratto dal Serraglio"), an opera she performed (as Konstanze) in at La Scala, season 1951-52.
Boldly signed by her at the bottom, size is 5 x 7 inches, ink stamped on verso by photographer Erio Piccagliani, Teatro La Scala, Milan. In excellent condition.
This is one of the more rare autographs of Callas, since this is a role she only performed at the beginning of her career, when she was still in her 20s.
