The Story
German soprano (1855-1905), appeared in leading roles both in many European opera houses as well as the Metropolitan Opera, particularly prominent in the Wagnerian repertoire. Her voice had an unusually wide range which allowed her to sing both soprano, mezzo-soprano and contralto roles.
