Italian baritone (1831-1918) of the first magnitude, regarded internationally as one of the greatest male opera singers of the 19th century.

Fine and long autograph letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him, dated in London, 1870, addressed to a colleague excusing himself for not being able to be part of a concert due to family concerns in Rome, and other personal issues (plus two extra letters addressed to close friends at the end).  Size is 5.2 x 8.1 inches, 4 written pages, folds, creases, evident wear, in overall very good condition.
